Heavenly Father,

I thank You for helping me complete the topic How Did We Receive the Bible? Thank You for the opportunity to learn about the Scriptures and how they have been passed down through generations.

As I begin this new topic, Why Trust the Bible?, I ask for Your grace, wisdom, and understanding. Help me to approach Your Word with a humble and teachable heart.

Father, teach me to distinguish between Your instructions and the words, opinions, and actions of people recorded in Scripture. Help me understand the purpose of each passage and avoid taking verses out of context.

Holy Spirit, guide me as I study. Help me examine what I read, recognize truth, and become a careful student of Your Word. Where I have misunderstood Scripture, help me learn and correct my understanding.

Give me patience as I grow in knowledge. Help me not merely to read the Bible, but to understand its message and recognize the truth it reveals about You and Your plan of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Thank You for Your grace and for bringing me this far in my learning. Help me continue faithfully, one lesson at a time.
