Series 2: Church Practices and Traditions — Discussion 30

      Bible Scripture (KJV)

2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV): “(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)”

Acts 19:11–12 (KJV): “And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.”

      Let us discuss:

Does the Bible teach that objects such as handkerchiefs, water, salt, or special oil have spiritual power in themselves? What can we learn from the unusual miracles recorded in Acts 19:11–12? How can Christians distinguish between trusting God by faith and depending on objects as though they guarantee miracles or protection?

Let us examine the Scriptures in context and discuss respectfully, allowing God’s Word to guide our understanding.
