Series 2: Church Practices and Traditions — Discussion 35

      Bible Scripture (KJV)

Galatians 5:18 (KJV): “But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.”

1 John 4:1 (KJV): “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”

      Let us discuss:

Does the Bible require Christians to consult a prophet before making important decisions? How can believers seek God’s guidance through Scripture, prayer, wisdom, and the leading of the Holy Spirit? What should Christians do when someone claims that they must pay for a prophecy or obey a prophet’s instructions to receive God’s direction?

Let us examine Scripture in context and discuss respectfully, remembering that every spiritual claim should be tested against God’s Word.
