Series 2: Church Practices and Traditions — Discussion 32
Bible Scripture (KJV)
2 Corinthians 9:7 (KJV): “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”
Acts 8:20 (KJV): “But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money.”
Let us discuss:
Does the Bible teach that Christians must give a specific amount of money to receive a miracle, healing, or breakthrough? What is the difference between giving willingly to support ministry and giving because someone promises a particular blessing in return? How should Christians respond when they are told that their miracle depends on the size of their financial offering?
Let us study the Scriptures in context and discuss respectfully, remembering that God’s gifts cannot be bought with money.
