Series 2: Church Practices and Traditions — Discussion 13

      Bible Scripture (KJV)

John 4:21 (KJV): “Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father.”

1 Timothy 2:8 (KJV): “I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.”

      Let us discuss:

Does a Christian need to visit a prayer mountain to seek God or receive answers to prayer? What did Jesus teach about the place of worship in John 4:21? What is the difference between choosing a quiet place to pray and believing that a particular mountain has special spiritual power?

Let us examine the Scriptures in context. Christians may choose mountains or quiet places for prayer, but does the Bible teach that these places are necessary for God to hear them?
