Series 2: Church Practices and Traditions — Discussion 20
Bible Scripture (KJV)
1 Timothy 2:5 (KJV): “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;”
Colossians 2:18 (KJV): “Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,”
Let us discuss:
Does the Bible instruct Christians to pray to angels or ask them for help? What does it mean that Jesus Christ is the one mediator between God and humanity? How can we distinguish biblical teaching about angels from religious traditions that go beyond Scripture?
Let us examine the passages in context and share our understanding respectfully.
