Series 2: Church Practices and Traditions — Discussion 21

      Bible Scripture (KJV)

Deuteronomy 18:10–11 (KJV): “There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer.”

1 Timothy 2:5 (KJV): “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;”

      Let us discuss:

Does the Bible instruct Christians to pray to deceased people? What is the difference between remembering faithful believers who have died and seeking spiritual help from them? How does the Bible describe Jesus Christ’s role as mediator between God and humanity?

Let us study the passages in context and share our understanding respectfully, allowing Scripture to guide our discussion.
