1 John 5:14 (KJV): “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:”

Proverbs 15:29 (KJV): “The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.”

Does God hear every prayer in the same way? What does it mean to pray according to God’s will? How should we understand passages that speak about God not hearing certain prayers?
