Series 2: Church Practices and Traditions — Discussion 6

      Bible Scripture (KJV)

Acts 8:36–37 (KJV): “And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized? And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest.”

      Let us discuss:

What is the purpose of water baptism according to the Bible? Is water baptism necessary for salvation, or is it an outward expression of faith? What should guide Christians in understanding and practising water baptism today?

Let us share our understanding from Scripture and discuss respectfully, allowing God’s Word to guide our answers.
